Deze kaart maakte ik voor de Zomer challenge op facebook, het thema was gebruik behang!

De achtergrond maakte ik met behang wat ik beinkte met  blauwe Distress inkt en daarmee stempelde ik de kaart, de cirkels ponste ik uit stukje behang. Het kindje gekleurd met Zig clean color pencils.

I made this card for the summer challenge on Facebook. The theme was use wallpaper. I made the background with wallpaper that I colored with blue distress ink and stamped my card with the same color. I punched the circles from a piece of wallpaper. I used Zig markers to color the child image. Een middagje spelen met brusho, gesso, templates en het schattige jongetje van de set Boy´s

Stamps used:  in the background two text stamps from the sets Chicken and Text. The boy is from the set Boys. All Art Journey stamps ofcourse.

Really, I love the new stampset Your Wings.

In the background you see bubbles, I stamp this with a bubbles stencil and distress inkt, love this technique.

New Art Journey Stamps: Your Wings, ode aan Jeanette

Your Wings

Een stempel set met een verhaal en een homage aan mijn vriendschap met Jeanette, mijn lieve vriendin die zoals de meesten van jullie weten in februari van dit jaar veel te jong is overleden. Twee van de stempels in deze set zijn gemaakt van foto's die Jeanette heeft gemaakt. De laarzen, en de koffertjes. Deze 3 koffertjes zijn al jaren mijn persoonlijk bezit en de middelste is zelfs  het koffertje die ik vroeger mee nam naar school toen we in Australië woonden. Zie foto hieronder.

A stamp set with a "story" and a homage to my friendship with my dear friend Jeanette who died far to young in February of this year. Two of the stamps, the boots and the suitcases are made from photo's which Jeanette made. These are my personal little suitcases, and the middle one is my suitcase I used to take to school in the years we lived in Australia. See picture below.

Op de set natuurlijk naast de koffertjes een kompas omdat Jeanette en ik samen zoveel op reis waren en ook onze gezamenlijk hobby het geocachen aan de hand van een kompas en gps en dan de toepasselijke tekst: Thank you for your part in my journey. Al met al een set dicht bij mijn hart, maar ik denk voor jou ook een schitterende aanwinst in jouw stempelcollectie want ze zijn prachtig!
Van elke verkochte set doneert Art Journey 1 euro aan het KWF kankerbestrijding.

On the set also a compass as Jeanette and I loved to travel and to do some geocaching with a gps and compass. And the very suitable sentiment: Thank you for your part in my journey. You can imagine it is a set close to my heart, but I think the stamps are beautiful and shouldn't lack in any stamp collection.
From every sold stamp set Art Journey will donate 1 euro to the KWF cancer- fund. 

De meiden van het designteam hebben de stempels al een poosje in huis en hebben schitterende voorbeelden gemaakt.

De girls of our designteam have been playing with the stamps and made beautiful examples.
