.Challenge # 65: And the winner is......

Jongens wat waren het weer prachtige inzendingen deze maand. Het blijft leuk en inspirerend te zien hoe iedereen weer een thema uitwerkt. Dank daarvoor.

Corrie Herriman,
 love the blending of the colors Corrie, and this is one of my favorite stamps.
I can see the boy is enjoying every moment!

Marianne Seip,
who wouldn't want to own this tin? great use of washitape in combination with the stamps. The red umbrella girl really stands out.

Nellie van Leeuwen
Nellie makes clean and simple cards with great use of the sayings.  Love the background Nellie!
Beautiful card.

Rosie Schirrmeister
Great connecting ATC's, beautiful colors. The eyes are highlighted, that makes all the difference.

Stempelwolf Anne
I adore the simplicity of this ATC, and the roots drawn on the flower stem. Think I am going to steal this idea Anne!

Yvonne Koops
Love the vibrant colors but also the watery background seems so fitting to the fishing theme.

Een paar weken geleden een heerlijk weekend doorgebracht met mijn stempel maatjes en daar ontbraken natuurlijk niet de stempels van Art Journey!

 A few weeks ago a wondeful weekend spent with my stamp buddies and there were missing of course not the stamps Art journey

Mixed media boekje/book

Sinds januari volg ik een online mixed media cursus zodat ik uitgedaagd wordt om vaker creatief bezig te zijn. Ik heb deze week al flink wat werk verzet en een boekje gemaakt met acrylverf e.d. Er pasten natuurlijk ook enkele Art Journey stempels in en het is een vrolijk geheel geworden. Voor meer details en foto's kun je op mijn eigen blog terecht.
Since january I'm taking an online mixed media class. This resulted this weekend in this little book with some stamps of Art Journey. You can find out more on my blog.

Ik ben verhuist van zolder naar de eerste etage met mijn stempelhok vorig jaar mei. Op de foto ziet er allemaal nog heel netjes uit!

Op de deze foto zie je mijn stempelverzameling.Ik heb de houten stempels in een ladekast, de rubberen heb ik cd-hoesjes en de rest heb ik in  manden. Er zijn ondertussen al weer meer stempels bijgekomen, die had ik echt nodig....

   Zo ziet mijn werkplek er meestal uit, mijn oude vertrouwde chaos!

Het is leuk om te zien dat jullie dit een leuke wedstrijd vonden. En heel bijzonder, de meeste van jullie hadden de lijst met stempels compleet. Iemand had zelfs de tijd genomen om een afbeelding van alle stempelsheets naar me te sturen..

Journal page

Journalen is natuurlijk heel leuk, maar ik blijf toch altijd een stempelaar en heb dan ook op deze pagina die ik maakte n.a.v.  een les van de online cursus Wanderlust véél stempels gebruikt ! De combinatie met stempels in het journalen vind ik perfect !! Of het nu om achtergrond of focal point gaat, voor mij zijn stempels écht onmisbaar.
De volgende stempels heb ik er in verwerkt: Friends (man en vrouw), Peacock (blad/veer), Numbers (crackle), Pennibs (spatters) , Ripples small (cirkels) en Sweet dreams (ruitjes).

En dan te bedenken dat ik vijf jaar geleden mijn hobby begon aan een mooi oud bureau in de woonkamer en dat ik nu zelfs de beschikking heb over een eigen workshopruimte. Dit allemaal dankzij mijn handyman, ik voel me een bevoorrecht mens!

And to think that five years ago I started my hobby to a beautiful old desk in the living room and now I even have access to a private workshop space. This is all thanks to my handyman, i feel very privileged

Alweer een kaart in Zwart Wit, ik blijf het leuk vinden. Nu even een donkerrood randje er om.

Again a card in black and white, I just love playing with that theme. This time a rim of darkred.

Guest designer: Mirella Baniecka

Deze maand weer een guest designer en nu helemaal uit Polen: Mirella Baniecka.
Nadat ik Mirella's werk eens bewonderd had toen zij mee deed met onze challenge heb ik haar gevraagd om iets voor ons te maken. Hieronder zie je wat ze toen heeft gecreëerd.

This month another guest designer all the way from Poland: Mirella Baniecka.
Mirella entered one of our challenges and I loved her entry so much that I asked her to make some more of her lovely work to show to you. This is what she made. Enjoy!

My name is Mirella, I live in Gdansk, Poland. I love gardening, cooking, reading - but first of all creating things with my hands. Most of my work is in vintage style, with a feeling of old times. I love trying different things and new techniques. I'm not a typical mix media artist, however I love a touch of inks, paints and gesso in my work. I create cards, boxes, mini albums, altered art, art journals and love working on different surfaces: wood, paper or fabric.

I’m very happy that I can share with you my projects. I love stamping and wonderful Art Journey stamps are one of my favorites. I found them very inspiring and helpful in expressing my thoughts and feelings.

Mirella, thanks for your great work. Hope to see your work again here some day.
