Hallo /hello

Wat is er mooier dan een handgemaakt cadeautje geven aan iemand die je dierbaar is, voor een verjaardag of gewoon omdat iemand het verdiend?

What is more special dan creating a handmade gift for someone you love? For a birthday or just because you think someone deserves it?

Eigenlijk heb je niet meer nodig dan een beetje kleur en natuurlijk mooie stempels. Er is weer een nieuwe prachtige set uitgekomen, dat kan je niet zijn ontgaan. Met deze en nog een paar andere sets maakte ik dit cadeautje met mooie wensen.

Ik gebruikte voor deze bos met kaartjes alleen distress inkt en de stempels van Art Journey.

Mini Boekje

Voor de challenge van deze maand, alles is vierkant maakte ik dit mini boekje,(want ik ben gek op boekjes;0) van 5x5 cm,ik gebruikte alleen stempels van Art Journey,

ik sneed 2 kartonnetjes van 5x5cm en de rug 2.5x5 cm, ik maakte het aan elkaar met zwarte boekbinders linnen, knipte 2 strookjes papier van restjes van de gelli plate  7x6 cm, en bestempelde ze, voor binnenin sneed ik een strook, ook een restje van de gelli plate van 50x5 cm en rilde het op elke 5 cm. en vouwde het om en om en bestempelde het ook. Plakte het aan de binnenkant vast aan beide kanten.Op de rug plakte ik nog de tekst Art. Om het dicht te maken gebruikte ik een dun draadje en strikte het.

Ik zou zeggen ga er ook een maken is zo leuk en eenvoudig om te doen!!

Onder elke foto heb ik de gebruikte stempels beschreven!

For this month's challenge (all is square), I made this 5 x 5 cm mini book (I love books, lol!). I only used Art Journey stamps.

I cut two pieces of cardboard (5 x 5 cm) for the covers and one piece for the back (2,5 x 5 cm). I attached them together with black bookbinders linen. For the covers I cut two strips of gelli plate papers (7 x 6 cm) and stamped on them. For the inside I cut a long strip, als from gelli plate paper (50 x 5 cm), scored and folded every 5 cms and stamped on the little pages. Glued it on the inside of the cover at front and back. On the back I glued the word ART. To close the booklet I used a piece of string.

ATC's dieren/animals

Voor een swap maakte ik deze 6 ATC's , het thema was ,dieren'. Dat was niet moeilijk met zo'n ruime keuze aan dierenstempels !

For a swap I made these 6 ATC's, the theme was animals. That wasn't difficult as Art Journey has so many animals to choose from!

Deze stempels heb ik gebruikt/ the stamps I used:
Crows, Insects,  Sea, Branches, Grasses,  Butterfy Girls en Garden Birds.

Challenge #79: Verhuizen/ To move.

Deze maand mag ik het thema aanleveren. Vanwege de recente ingrijpende verplaatsing van mijn vader van Delft naar Zuidlaren, wordt het: VERHUIZEN

Het komt dus heel goed uit dat we een prachtige nieuwe stempelsheet hebben met grachtenpandjes. Deze past uitstekend bij het thema.

En hoe bijzonder is het dat we ook voor deze maand nog een kaart van Jeanette hebben?

My father recently moved to my village to be near his (grand)children. So this month's challenge will be: TO MOVE!
Happy coïncident that Art Journey released the beautiful stampsheet Canal houses ;-)

Garden Birds on gelli prints

Een hele serie kaarten maakte ik met de Garden Birds. Want toen ik eenmaal begon, kon ik niet meer stoppen met spelen! Ze zijn zo leuk en en ze zijn prachtig om in te kleuren met Inkstense potloden. En de achtergrondjes zijn leuk om te maken en snel klaar.

I made a whole series of cards with the Garden Birds. Once I started, I had to go on, couldn't stop playing! They are so cute and they are fantastic to colour with Inktense pencils. And the backgrounds are fun and quick to make.

 

De achtergrond is telkens een 4" ronde gelliprint met distress inkt. Vóór het afdrukken heb ik een schone stempel op de gelli plate afgedrukt. Zo krijg je een lichte afdruk van de takken en krullen op de achtergrond. Daarna met stempelen en maskeren de vogels, takken en teksten gestempeld.

Ik heb gewoon over de distress inkt gekleurd met mijn inktense potloden. Alleen waar ik het echt wit wilde hebben, heb ik met bleek gewerkt.

The background is a 4" round gelli print made with distress inks. Before printing it on the paper I stamped a clean stamp onto the plate. That is how you get the faint impression of the branches and swirls. After that I stamped and masked the birds, branches and text.

I coloured directly over the distress ink background. Only where I wanted real white I used bleach to remove the colour.

De kaarten met de Nederlandse teksten maakte ik voor mijn oma, zodat zij ze kan versturen. De tekst "Fijne verjaardag" is niet van Art Journey, maar van Els Brige.

The cards with the dutch texts I made for my grandmother for her to send. They read "Get well" (beterschap) and "Happy birthday" (Fijne verjaardag)

Mixed media boekje/book

Sinds januari volg ik een online mixed media cursus zodat ik uitgedaagd wordt om vaker creatief bezig te zijn. Ik heb deze week al flink wat werk verzet en een boekje gemaakt met acrylverf e.d. Er pasten natuurlijk ook enkele Art Journey stempels in en het is een vrolijk geheel geworden. Voor meer details en foto's kun je op mijn eigen blog terecht.
