Bij Art Journey loopt deze hele maand nog de challenge Alles is Rond, ter inspiratie maakte ik nog deze kaart!

Deze kaart maakte ik voor de Zomer challenge op facebook, het thema was gebruik behang!

De achtergrond maakte ik met behang wat ik beinkte met  blauwe Distress inkt en daarmee stempelde ik de kaart, de cirkels ponste ik uit stukje behang. Het kindje gekleurd met Zig clean color pencils.

I made this card for the summer challenge on Facebook. The theme was use wallpaper. I made the background with wallpaper that I colored with blue distress ink and stamped my card with the same color. I punched the circles from a piece of wallpaper. I used Zig markers to color the child image. Art Boek /Art Booklet

Voor een challenge op Facebook maakte ik dit boekje met stempels van Art journey.

Journal page

Journalen is natuurlijk heel leuk, maar ik blijf toch altijd een stempelaar en heb dan ook op deze pagina die ik maakte n.a.v.  een les van de online cursus Wanderlust véél stempels gebruikt ! De combinatie met stempels in het journalen vind ik perfect !! Of het nu om achtergrond of focal point gaat, voor mij zijn stempels écht onmisbaar.
De volgende stempels heb ik er in verwerkt: Friends (man en vrouw), Peacock (blad/veer), Numbers (crackle), Pennibs (spatters) , Ripples small (cirkels) en Sweet dreams (ruitjes).

Golden Oldie's Zentangle van Tineke.

Was in mijn bestanden aan het bladeren en kwam deze prachtige Zentangles van onze "oud" Designlid Tineke Koedam tegen. Tineke is een ware kunstenares als het op Zentangelen aankomt en haar fantasie is iets wat ik enorm bewonder. Ik hoop dat jullie er ook (opnieuw) van genieten.

I was looking through my files and came accross these great Zentangles from our former Designteammember Tineke Koedam. Tineke is great in combining stamps and Zentangle and I always admire her different way of looking at stamps. Enjoy!

Voor de achtergrond heb ik Distress inkt Salty Ocean en Shabby Shutters gebruikt.

 

The background is colored with Distress ink, Salty Ocean and Shabby Shutters.

 

 

Hoera! Stars!

Dat de nieuwe Christmas Stars ook voor andere gelegenheden dan kerstmis geschikt zijn wist je natuurlijk al. Ik maakte onderstaande felicitatiekaart om jullie nog eens de veelzijdigheid van deze stempels te laten zien.

That the new Christmas Stars are not just for Christmas is nothing new. I made the card below to show you again the versatility of the stamps.

Ik stempelde de lege sterren van de set op restjes van gelli-prints. Ik gebruikte hiervoor Stazon inkt in passende kleuren en knipte ze uit. Voor de ondergrond stempelde ik de Mixed Media en spetters met Pumice Stone distress inkt.

I stamped the outline stars from the set on scraps of gelli prints. I used Stazon ink in matching colours and I cut them out. For the background I stamped the Mixed Media and ink spots with Pumice Stone distress ink.

Weer heerlijk gespeeld met Bister: de verslaving is inmiddels een feit ! :-D
De tag is ,gewoon' Bister met water, maar bij de kaart heb ik in plaats van water Dylusions sprays gebruikt, een super effect !

Een hele snelle kaart met de stempelsheets Eye's en Newspaper and Fabric. De inktspetters komen van de sheet Pennibs. /
A quick and easy card made with the Art Journey stampsheets: Eye's, Newspaper and Fabric and Pennibs.

Painted Backgrounds

Deze 3 kaartjes heb ik gemaakt met enkele van de nieuwe Art Journey stempels.

I made these 3 cards with some of the new Art Journey stamps.

 Voor de achtergrond eerst een laag gesso uitgesmeerd met een oud bankpasje. Daar acrylverf over aangebracht op dezelfde manier. 

I covered the background with a coat of gesso first. Added acrylic paint on top. Applied the gesso and paint with an old credit card.

De hokjes gemaakt met verf en een sjabloon.

Used a template and paint to make the squares.

Op verf stempel ik meestal met StazOn inkt. 

Did the stamping with StazOn ink, this kind of ink works well on paint.

Telkens een andere postzegel gemaakt met het postzegelframe uit de Postcard stempelset .

Made several stamps with the frame from the Postcard stampset.

De grote bloem is ook met een sjabloon gemaakt. 

The big flower is made with a template and StazOn ink.

Onderaan de kaarten telkens een gescheurd randje boektekst geplakt. 

Glued a strip of torn gesso-ed book text at the bottom of the cards.
