Honey Bee - Groetjes

 The giant bee on this card is a new stamp by Art Journey.

I stamped the bee with Archival ink, and colored it with pencils.

Then I masked the bee and sponged the honeycomb background, using a stencil and Distress Inks.

De reuzegrote bij op deze kaart is een nieuwe stempel van Art Journey.

Gestempeld met Archival inkt en ingekleurd met potloden.

Daarna de bij bedekt met een maskertje en de achtergrond gesponst met Distress Inkt en een stencil.

 Love this stamp!

Deze kaart gemaakt weer met de nieuwe Art Journey stempels ! Ik gebruikte hier de stempels: Eyes, Insects, Baroque Swirl en Scratches & Diamonds.
In het vergrootglas zit een ,echt' glaasje van mica !

Made this card with the new Art Journey stamps again ! I used the stamps: : Eyes, Insects, Baroque Swirl en Scratches & Diamonds. There's a ,real' glass in the magnifier  (acetate) !

Insects en Branches

Met o.a. de nieuwe sets Insects en Branches maakte ik deze kaarten.

I made some cards with the new stamp sets Insects and Branches.

De diaraampjes zijn niet echt.

The slide frames are fake ones.

Er is ook een mini-versie van het lieveheersbeestje! Te koop in de winkel en op beurzen.

There is also a mini version of the ladybird, for sale at the shop and on shows.

Painted Backgrounds

Deze 3 kaartjes heb ik gemaakt met enkele van de nieuwe Art Journey stempels.

I made these 3 cards with some of the new Art Journey stamps.

 Voor de achtergrond eerst een laag gesso uitgesmeerd met een oud bankpasje. Daar acrylverf over aangebracht op dezelfde manier. 

I covered the background with a coat of gesso first. Added acrylic paint on top. Applied the gesso and paint with an old credit card.

De hokjes gemaakt met verf en een sjabloon.

Used a template and paint to make the squares.

Op verf stempel ik meestal met StazOn inkt. 

Did the stamping with StazOn ink, this kind of ink works well on paint.

Telkens een andere postzegel gemaakt met het postzegelframe uit de Postcard stempelset .

Made several stamps with the frame from the Postcard stampset.

De grote bloem is ook met een sjabloon gemaakt. 

The big flower is made with a template and StazOn ink.

Onderaan de kaarten telkens een gescheurd randje boektekst geplakt. 

Glued a strip of torn gesso-ed book text at the bottom of the cards.

Art Journey presenteerde dit weekend tijdens het Art Specially event haar nieuwste serie stempels. 

Art Journey realesed a lot of new stamps at the Art Specially this weekend.

Voor deze kaart heb ik de Honey Bee stempel gebruikt, welke ik op een servet heb afgedrukt en vervolgens met gelmedium op de mixed media achtergrond heb bevestigd.

For this card I used the Honey Bee stamp, wich I stampt on a napkin and attached with gel medium on the mixed media background.
