Verjaardagskaartje/Birthday card

Ook ik ben verslaafd aan het raken aan bister. Leuk, leuk, leuk om hier mee te kliederen en experimenteren. Voor de onderstaande kaart had ik een achtergrond gemaakt die toch wel een beetje te donker was uitgevallen om er iets op te stempelen. Het sprong er niet uit en viel weg in de achtergrond.  Toen op een apart stukje papier de leuke stempel van het jongetje in de bloempot gestempeld en ingekleurd met bister opgelost in water. Je krijgt dan een leuk aquarel effect. Een beetje gesponsd met faded jeans om de blauwe kleur van de achtergrond met bister erbij te krijgen en viola het kaartje was klaar. 

Yes I am also addicted to this medium called Bister. It's so much fun to just play and experiment with it. But when I finished the background and stamped my image on it, the background was too dark to see the stamp. So I cut that piece off, grabbed a piece of scrappaper and stamped the image of the boy in the flowerpot again and just colored it with a wet brush and some bister desolved in water. Great watercolor effect. 

Finally I sponged the card with Faded Jeans to tye it in with the background and voila, the card was ready.

Baby album/

Ik hou ervan om met afval materiaal te werken, het daagt me uit, leert me om op een creatieve manier naar materiaal te kijken. Voor dit album gebruikte ik bijvoorbeeld het karton van een doos als omslag.

I love to work with scraps, it challenges me in a creative way to look at things. For example I used  cardboard from a box to make the cover of this album.

Nadat ik het karton had bewerkt met verf, bracht ik met behulp van een template modeling paste, distress ink en wat stempels aan. Daarna "kleedde" ik het verder aan met een stukje zelf geschept papier, een stukje uit een tijdschrift, een gedroogd theezakje, nietje, kantje en natuurlijk voor de finishing touch de prachtige baby stempels.

After I aded some paint on the cardboard I used a template to aply the modeling paste and distress ink. Then I decorated the cover with a piece of  self made paper, a piece of paper from a magazine, a dried tea bag, a staple, lace and of course for the finishing touch the beautiful baby stamps.

Voor de binding gebruikte reepjes stof van een oude spijkerbroek en touw.

For the binding I used stripes of fabric from an old jeans.

Het schutblad komt uit een oud kapot foto album.

The bracts came from a old broken fhoto album.

Ik heb ook even  met bister gespeeld , wat is dat leuk spul zeg. 

I also played with bister, what a fine stuff.

Voor deze tag heb ik  Distress Paint op mijn craft sheet gedaan.

Wat glimmermist Iridescent Gold erbij en toen mijn tag door het mengsel gehaald.

Goed laten drogen.

Met een sjabloon en Modeling paste de strepen gemaakt.

Laten drogen.

Met wat kleuren Distress inkt en een sponsje de tag op kleur gebracht.

To make this tag I have used Distress Paint .

Put some colors on my craft sheet and

add some  glimmermist Iridescent Gold 

I dragged my tag over the craft sheet and let it dry.

With a template and Modeling paste I made some stripes.

Let dry.

With some colors Distress Ink and a sponge I gave the tag some more color.

Voor deze tag heb ik de volgende stempel plates gebruikt:

For this tag I have used the following Stamp sheets:

Pages, Baroque Swirl, Ripples-Small, Diva, Sweet-Dreams.

 Ik heb met zwarte Archival Ink wat stempels gezet op mijn tag.

Op een nieuw stuk papier heb ik de andere stempels gestempeld.

Toen met verschillende kleuren Distress Ink gekleurd.

Alles uit geknipt en met foam opgeplakt om iets meer effect te krijgen.

Wat embelishments erbij gezocht en klaar was mijn tag.

I have used Archival black ink to do the stamping on my tag.

With different colors Distress Ink I colored my Tag. 

On a new piece of paper I stamped  the other stamps.

I colored them with Distress Ink.

Cut and attached these pieces with foam to my work.

This gave a better effect to my work.

To finish my tag I added some embelishments.
